Founded in 1980 by Jack Morgan, Jr., MAI, JC Morgan has built a reputation for delivering accurate, objective, and credible real estate appraisal and consulting services. What began as a commitment to professionalism and integrity continues today under the leadership of Cal Morgan, MAI, SRA, AI-GRS, who carries forward the firm’s legacy while guiding its growth across both North and South Carolina.

Cal Morgan, MAI, SRA, AI-GRS, leads JC Morgan with a focus on delivering high-quality appraisal and consulting services. In addition to his designations from the Appraisal Institute, he is a licensed real estate broker and general contractor in North Carolina and holds general appraisal certifications in both North and South Carolina.
Cal currently serves on the North Carolina Appraisal Board and previously served on the North Carolina Property Tax Commission from 2013 to 2017. He is the only practicing appraiser in the state of North Carolina that has formerly served on the Property Tax Commission. He remains actively engaged in advancing the appraisal profession through ongoing education with leading organizations such as the Appraisal Institute, IRWA, CCIM Institute, ULI, the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, and the Association of Realtors.
